5 lawrence street has been a home for artists since 1988, when dave rudden opened a furniture restoration space here. shortly after arriving, rudden had the idea to build additional spaces for use as artists' studios. he has now expanded the studios three times, most recently in 2004-2005. the building is an ideal working space for artists, and now has dozens of artists working in a variety of disciplines. parkway studios is pleased to announce its 8th open studio tour, to take place november 15th from 12-5pm, with 33 artists exhibiting work.
