The colors, patterns and texture of island life are the inspirations for my paintings. My fire for painting became ignited upon migrating to the island of St. Maarten. I returned to teach in NYC, where I began my career in art.
Although figures play an integral part in my painting, they are used in an abstract, patterned way to express emotions. Lines, shapes and texture convey the inner workngs of the soul.
